InfraBeam
Product setup

Getting started with your InfraBeam IB-1.

The five things most people ask in the first ten minutes after opening the box.

Plug the included USB-C cable into the port at the base of the device and connect the other end to any standard USB power source (a 5 V / 2 A wall adapter works well). A full charge from empty takes about 90 minutes. The indicator LED next to the port pulses while charging and turns solid when the battery is full.

There's a single button on the side of the steel body. Hold it for about a second to turn the device on. A short press cycles through the three modes — red only (630 / 660 nm), near-infrared only (850 nm), and combined. Hold the button again to turn the device off.

The device runs a built-in session timer. After three minutes in any mode, the LEDs switch off automatically and the unit powers down. You can press the side button again to start another session if you want. The timer is fixed and isn't user-adjustable.

Thread the thin cord loop on the lanyard through the small slot at the base of the device, then pass the wider strap through that loop and pull it snug. Once it's attached, the strap adjusts with a sliding bead so it fits your wrist.

First, confirm the battery is charged — plug the USB-C cable in and look for the indicator LED next to the port. Next, make sure you're holding the side button for a full second; a quick tap won't power it on from off. If the indicator never lights during charging and the device still won't start, email us at support@buyinfrabeam.com with your order number and we'll take it from there.

Using InfraBeam

Day-to-day use and basic safety.

Practical guidance for adding the device to a routine you already have.

Hold the device a few inches from the area you're directing the light at, with the front lens facing the skin. Most people move it slowly in small circles rather than holding it perfectly still in one spot. Keep the lens pointed away from your eyes the entire time.

No. Don't stare into the beam and don't aim the lens at anyone's eyes — yours or someone else's. If you're using the device near the face, close your eyes and keep the lens directed at the skin, not toward the eyes.

It's a personal-care routine, not a treatment plan. Some people use it once a day, some less, some not on any fixed schedule at all. We don't recommend a specific frequency, and we don't make claims about what more or less use does.

Wipe the stainless-steel body and the glass lens with a soft, dry cloth. Don't submerge the device in water — it isn't water resistant. Don't use solvents, alcohol wipes, or abrasive cleaners on the lens; they can damage the coating over time.

The face, hands, and scalp are typical areas people use it. Avoid the eyes, the front of the neck (over the thyroid), broken or irritated skin, tattooed areas, and anywhere you're not sure about. See the Terms page for the full safety list, and consult a qualified healthcare provider if you have a medical condition or any concern.
